Who am I?

I was born in 1957 in Algeria in a very poor environment. I moved to eastern France in 1970, to a region of the country known for its cold weather but also the generosity and friendliness of its people. After studying and living in Paris for 15 years, I decided in 1993 to move the San Francisco Bay Area.

On this web site, I want to share with you some of the images and memories that people around the world have so nicely let me take home. My camera has been an excuse for me to spend long hours walking through the streets of the cities I have visited. As often as possible, I have tried not to change the mood, atmosphere and setting when taking pictures. I have never been interested in creating merely beautiful photos, but rather in taking a 'true picture' of what I have seen and felt.
